Nuovo record di contagi covid oggi in Gran Bretagna, con 119.789 casi secondo il bollettino del 23 dicembre. Sono stati registrati altri 147 morti. I nuovi positivi di oggi, in un quadro legato alla variante Omicron, fanno segnare un incremento del 139% rispetto al bollettino di 15 giorni fa, come sottolinea il Guardian.

Sembra che la variante africana sia meno letale ma talmente contagiosa da mettere gli ospedali sotto pressione.
