Devastante terremoto nel cuore dell’Italia: il bilancio al momento è di 45 morti accertati. Ma è purtroppo provvisorio, molte persone sotto le macerie e il bilancio può salire. Delle vittime, dieci risultano ad Arquata e Pescara del Tronto (Ascoli Piceno) e 28 in quelli di Amatrice e Accumoli (Rieti). L’ultima una bambina di due anni di Amatrice morta all’ospedale di Ascoli.

Tre le scosse più forti. Una di magnitudo 6 è stata registrata alle 3:36. L’epicentro a 2 chilometri da Accumoli (Rieti) e 10 da Arquata del Tronto (Ascoli Piceno) ed Amatrice (Rieti). L’ipocentro è stato a soli 4 km di profondità. Seconda e terza scossa sono state registrate alle 4:32 e 4:33. Hanno avuto epicentro in prossimità di Norcia (Perugia), Castelsantangelo sul Nera (Macerata) e Arquata del Tronto (Ascoli Piceno). Gli ipocentri sono stati tra gli 8 e i 9 km. Oltre 50 finora (alle 6:40) le repliche di magnitudo superiore a 2, cinque delle quali di magnitudo 4 o superiore.
